The Grand Tree. Erulissë figured that, of all the places in Samenia that she could visit first, this was likely the best place to look. With it being one of the oldest trees in Samenia--if not the oldest--it seemed to be a place that many Toraseki flocked to. She could have sworn she had already spotted Alassëa somewhere in the tree, but when she'd looked again, the Toraseki had vanished. "Well," she said to herself. "Time to see what has happened here since we fell into slumber..."

He remembered everything. It was only natural, being his domain as a Fallen God, but it was still a heavy burden to bear. The way things had just slowed down until they had all completely faded away... The way his consciousness had turned to darkness... He remembered being in the darkness, too. But now things were changing. The lands stretched out before him covered in rivers, trees, mountains, and sand, in ways different than they had before. His appearance was more robust. More importantly, he was awake to notice. And since he was awake, he needed to remember. That was why Manu had set out for the Grand Tree. As the most massive and famous tree in Samenia, it seemed to be a good starting point for recollecting old thoughts and developing new ones. Quietly, he picked a place amongst its roots and stretched out, gazing into the distance. Perhaps something would happen. Perhaps something wouldn't. But either way, he would remember.

Erulissë's ear flicked as she rose her head up high, drawing in a breath as she thought of where to begin looking. She closed her eyes as she drew on her powers to sense life--as was her domain. She could sense a lot of plants, and--naturally--the tree itself.
But then... a flicker that was brighter than the others came through her vision.
Eru felt her heart leap slightly. She had already grown accustomed to the bright flickers of the Toraseki back home, ranging from her own sister (still so stubborn, and still insisting on holing up in the mountaintop shrine), to her daughter, and to the mortals that lived there. The fact that she had found one such flicker outside of her haven--were there others that were, at last, waking up?
Erulissë made her way around the tree, following the flicker that she'd felt. When she saw the form that the flicker belonged to, she stopped short.

He could hear the soft sound of pawsteps approaching, but Manu only looked up when it stopped. Oh... That figure...
He didn't need a memory of her to know who she was.
"Ah," the Fallen God mumbled thoughtfully, shifting his weight slightly. Erulissë, the Golden Goddess. Manu wasn't sure what to expect from her. She had a reputation for showing kindness to those who were Fallen through no fault of their own, true, but the two had never personally met. Would she be annoyed that she had bumped into him? Or would she simply be happy to see another Toraseki?
Well, he'd find out soon enough. No sense in souring her mood by being rude, though.
"Hello, Milady," he greeted her calmly, tail tip twitching. "May I ask what brings you here this fine day?"

Eru shook her head briefly, as if to clear her head. After a few moments, though, she walked a little closer to him and sat, dipping her head respectfully.
"Hello," she said. Her tail twitched slightly, and she tilted her head as she said, "You're... Manu, yes? One of Tariel and Náer's children." It was habit, she supposed--being the Goddess of Life, she was familiar with at least the names--sometimes the lineages--of the various Toraseki in the realm. Of course, it also helped that both Tariel and Náer resided in her haven...
"I'm out here to see... what's happened since we all fell asleep," she said, looking around. "It's been so long... and when I felt the flicker of life aside from those within my own haven, I wanted to see for myself."

As Eru approached and sat beside him, Manu sat up himself, not wishing to be impolite by remaining lying down.
"Yes, that is who I am," he replied. "It is good to finally meet you." He had heard much about the Golden Goddess from others in his haven; it was nice to have the chance to see if all they had said was true. Not that they were liars, but everyone viewed the world from their own unique viewpoint...
So she was out to look for other Toraseki after the changes that had occurred? That made sense. "It has been a long time," he agreed, following Eru's gaze. "Much has changed. Though, in some ways, it feels like nothing has changed at all." Manu thought a moment, and then added, "Many must still be asleep, or at the very least have not left their havens. I have not yet seen anyone else in this place."
But perhaps that would soon change? With the Goddess of Life up and about, surely others would begin to follow suit.
